Birthday Bash #1 | Boise Event Photographer

There is something so emotion-filled about a parent's celebration of her child's first birthday. It's a jumble of joy, disbelief, tenderness, nervousness. I recalled those feelings of my own children's first birthdays as I approached Little K's door:

Inside was a flurry of party preparations in a beautiful home, filled with 25 or so of K's loved ones:

Little K's mom is one crafty lady, and it showed in all the little touches - love the star theme, Brooke:

Fantastic weather was one of the gifts K received on his day, and the sand and water table was a popular hangout:

He was a little hesitant to dive right in come (cup)cake time:

But a little prodding from Mom and K annihilated it!

He even showed a little bit of his cheeky side to the adoring audience - take this!

Oh, but isn't this little guy a heartbreaker already? I can see the swooning teen girls now:

But right now, he's most content in the arms of his favorite female of all, Mom, as she opens up the treasures:

What do you think K is thinking of?

I couldn't resist throwing in this photo where K posed like a quarterback - Boise State, here is your star quarterback in training!

Little K, it was such a treat to hang out with you and your loved ones - how cool is it that you had four generations partying together?

Blessings to you, little guy. May your life be filled with many more happy birthdays.
